Super Bowl, Brownies, and Another Blizzard.

It’s the morning after the Super Bowl, and I am more than happy to be at home during another blizzard.  This blizzard does not have the foot of snow our last one had, but the winds are strong creating white out conditions and nasty roads… welcome to Minnesota!

Being home isn’t the only thing making me happy, the Super Bowl did it too! For once, the team I have been rooting for all year long, won the Super Bowl! Go Broncos!  I am so thankful that I was able to join my parents in going to the annual party at their friend’s house.  I was more worried about watching the football game alone, newly single, than I have been worried about being alone on Valentine’s day for the first time in six years.  Truly I think I enjoyed this football game more than any I have in the last six years anyways!

Now we all know the Super Bowl isn’t just about football and commercials… the food is a big player too! So yesterday I tried Ree Drummond’s (The Pioneer Woman and my inspiration) recipe for Salted Pretzel Brownies.  These brownies turned out to be so amazingly delicious that I believe this will be a go to recipe for me.  I encourage you to try it out, they were fast to make and pretty fun too!
